Who is Jardin de Pierre?
An accomplished landscaper, Pierre Archambault has worked in the trade for over 10 years before establishing his own business in 2009. Surrounded by his team of skilled workers, he offers a landscaping service under the motto: Owner-client relationship.
For those who like history: Pierre came to Eastern Townships in 1996. Upon completing a professional degree in forestry, his path crossed with the owner of a local garden center and landscaping company in Richmond. A crucial meeting in life that would influence his choice of carrer. With a clear vision of his future, he undertook a series of courses in horticulture, woodworking and dry-scapping. Over time he transferred his sensitivity and passion for art into landscape design. Keeping an « eye of the artist » on the job-site, that would enhance the value of the work provided.
Prior to his business debut, wanting to know everything about the landscaping field, Pierre Archambault worked has a labourer and team leader in two important companies here in the Eastern Townships. Throughout this period, he acquired many practical notions. He got the opportunity to get a hands on approach working alongside seasoned landscapers. There is no better way to learn than by working directly in the field. During those formative years as a landscaper, he noticed that most clients favoured a personal approach. With this in mind, he pondered with the desire to develop a new template for his future business. He founded a modest sized company where customer service is at heart. His motto was born: “Owner-client relationship”

Why work directly with the owner?
With the rise in popularity of landscaping, we see more and more tendencies where people opt to hire the services of big enterprises. To conceive a project, these enterprises employ many specialists, normally seen in traditional businesses. Parading before you will be the salesman, designer, field foreman and project foreman. All these participants have to consult each other before signing a contract with you. The client wonders: “Whom am I really doing business with?” Nevertheless, you grant your confidence to the company. When adjustments or modifications are needed, everyone has something to say and when something goes wrong… well, everybody passes the buck, because no one likes to take the blame.
Jardin de Pierre has a solution to this problem. When you are in partnership with the owner, you get rid of the middle man. The landscaper executing the work is the same person that signed the contract with you. Landscape contractors who owns their company offer you the greatest benefit: seeing you, the client, satisfied. His paycheck and growth of his enterprise depends directly on your satisfaction. At Jardin de Pierre, we believe that a smaller team offers you a better business relation between the client and the contractor which in turns ensures a better service. From the first visit to your home/business right up until we lay the last turf, you are dealing with Pierre Archambault and his team. We can work from an existing plan or custom design one for you. Our work is guaranteed. Contact us for more information and the services we offer.
Will the project take longer with only one team?
Quebec’s summer seasons are usually short and sometimes rainy. Managing the schedule of a contract represents a challenge for any landscaping company. Once work has started; your only wish is to see it completed within the shortest delay possible. In order to achieve this, it’s important to coordinate all the participants’ schedule according to weather predictions. The priority of each task must be taken into consideration. With one versatile team present on site from start to finish, there is less down time since certain tasks can be done while others can wait.
Another source of delay comes from waiting for the designer or managers’ approval each time a modification is needed on the project. At Jardin de Pierre, having the manager on site will improve such situations.
Please note: Efficiency is at the heart of what we do. We may have to subcontract specific tasks which requires specialized equipment. Such as excavation and moving large quantities of material. This is only done under my direct supervision or by lead hand. Substrate compaction and the finishing stages are never subcontracted.
