Slate is a beautiful and versatile stone for landscaping and is commonly found in the Eastern Townships. It can be modern or completely rustic as demonstrated in the picture below.

At the request of a customer in Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley, we raised the driveway to reduce the slope, to make more accessible. We had to build a retaining wall and staircase. Matching what was already ein place, we used this beautiful local slate stone. You can see a video of phase one of this project on our Landscaping web page.
The rough slate stone has more of a country style. When working with it, it can achieve a modern feel with an industrial vibe.
